Tom Warner has chambers in both Hobart (Derwent and Tamar) and Melbourne (Aickin) and is admitted in both Tasmania and Victoria.

He is an experienced counsel with a wide ranging practice in commercial, common, public and regulatory law.

Tom has represented clients in litigation, Royal Commissions, arbitrations, mediations, as well as in various manner of both public and confidential inquiries – including both for and against government agencies and State owned assets.

He also regularly provides written or oral advice as to merits, prospects of appeal and the operation of various complicated legal frameworks.

Immediately prior to coming to the Bar, Tom was an Associate to a Supreme Court Judge. Prior to that he worked in London as an Associate at Herbert Smith (now Herbert Smith Freehills) and completed articles at Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

Tom graduated from the University of Tasmania with first class honours degrees in both Laws and Arts. During his time at university, Thomas was awarded a number of academic awards, including the Murdock Clarke Corporations Law Prize for Corporations Law and the Dobson, Mitchell & Allport prize as the top graduating student across commercial law subjects.
