    Biography:

    Prior to joining the Victorian Bar in 1997, Mark was a solicitor and Senior Associate at Freehills (Perth and Melbourne) in commercial litigation and employee relations (1991-1997). He was also Associate to Justice French of the Federal Court in 1990-91. His Honours thesis at the University of Western Australia was on "The Liability of Local Authorities for Negligent Misstatement". His Master's thesis at the University of Melbourne was on "Fair Process in Redundancy".  He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Corporations and Securities Law from the University of Melbourne.

    Mark appears regularly in the Federal, Supreme, County and Magistrates' Courts, the Australian Industrial Relations Commission, Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and various disciplinary tribunals, as well as providing advice and conducting mediations, predominantly in employment, industrial and commercial law matters.

    Mark joined the Tasmanian Independent Bar in July 2008.
