With over 15 years of practice experience in Melbourne, Maree has recently returned to Hobart and is accepting local brief.

She has a First Class Honours degree in law from the University of Tasmania and a Master of Law degree from the University of Cambridge. Since her admission in 2005 she has practised in Victoria, first as a solicitor with Allens and, from 2010 onwards, as a member of the Victorian Bar. She also served as an Associate to the Honourable Justice Neave of the Victorian Court of Appeal.

Maree has a busy trial and appellate practice, focused on the following areas:

Employment law

Maree was Counsel Assisting the Commission of Inquiry into the Tasmanian Government’s Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in Institutional Settings (led by E Bennett SC).
