    Biography:

    Ms Barker (LLB (First Class) – Syd.) was called to the NSW Bar in May 2009. She regularly appears in all types of family law proceedings, as counsel for the Independent Children’s Lawyer, child protection matters, commercial matters (appearing for public and private sector clients), has been appointed lead independent investigator for a number of government agencies into allegations of workplace misconduct and corruption. Ms Barker also appears in coronial inquiries and, as a solicitor, has experience working on commissions of inquiry.
    Ms Barker was also appointed to the Australian Olympic Committee Pro Bono Barrister Panel for 2010 Winter Games (Team Selection Appeals).

    From February 2005 to April 2009, Ms Barker practiced as a solicitor at Allens Arthur Robinson in that firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution department. From 1996 to 2002, Ms Barker was a Registered Nurse in NSW and Tasmania.
